Lonely feelings happen to us all sometimes. How we perceive feeling of loneliness, and then what we do in response to the perception, determines what kind of person we are. We can allow feelings of separation and sadness to bring our mood to a low place where we lower our vibration. Doing this causes more pain and separation and becomes a continuous cycle.
This photograph is so beautiful. But when you look at it, and you think about sitting on that beach and admiring the view...are you imagining yourself alone? I could sit there for about 5 minutes, and it would be wonderful. Maybe I could rest there and fall asleep. But I would really be thinking of how nice it would be to share this place with someone. In specific, it would be a very romantic place to spend some time getting to know a special person.
Sometimes in life we are not with the one we "love" or that special someone. In this case, it may be hard to allow ourselves to be in the moment. What a wasted sunset that would be...forgeting to see it, feel it or embrace it! It is a gift to feel the soft sand beneath our feet and the warmth of the Island's sun upon our face. Solitude does not have to be loneliness for us. Time spent in quiet reflection can repair the places in your soul that are imperfect.
I spend a lot of time in this place of solitude lately. Sometimes I write. Other times I sing, dance or do yoga. Often I retreat to the beach near my home or walk around the neighborhood. Every moment can be transformed into a time and place where our thoughts can be put to work and be made useful. Preparing our minds for the subconscious journey each night is a vital step in creating a better reality. If, for instance, I am sad and lonely today, then the best thing I can do for myself is spend time in quiet meditation affirming with words and feeling what it is I want. Perhaps what I had been wanting for a while now has left me feeling lonely. Now that I can see the consequences of my thinking, I have the opportunity to change it.
When you consider the possibilities that exist with our thoughts being the creative energy of our lives, how can you possibly feel sad? As hard as this may seem, we can actually take full control of our emotions. We can be at peace in the most challenging situations. My advice for getting there is to begin meditation and yoga. Spend time in nature. Drink lots of purified water and practice deep breathing.
Love everyone and Be blessed!
